Model Village Borapatla
The Government of Telangana have launched Grama Jyothi Scheme in 2015 aligned with the vision of the Centre's scheme of Sansad Adrash Grama Yojana to empower the local self-governance model towards sustainable and efficient utilization of the local resources.
The main idea behind this scheme is to make our Villages self sufficient and prosperous with all the required improvement in infrastructure and human development and try to stop the ever increasing immigration problem of the villages to the cities in search of alternative livelihood options. One of the main focuses of the program is to help, support and empower women and the people from marginalized sections of the society for an inclusive growth.
To support this initiative Aurobindo Pharma decided to adopt village Borapatla in Hatnoora mandal in Medak District under its CSR. MAS with its 15 years of experience in the field of development sector partnered with Aurobindo Pharma Ltd, for transforming Borapatla into a model village.
Need Assessment Study
A need based study was conducted by MAS in the village Borapatla, based on that short and long term detailed plan was made to make strategic interventions in these villages towards an inclusive and a holistic development. The detailed plan was made keeping in mind the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
