NABARD - GTZ Rural Finance Programme - MFO information base
Request for Profile of your Organisation:
The GTZ - Nabard Rural Finance Programme
has planned to create a one-time inventory of all the MFOs (Cooperatives, MACS,
Societies, trusts, section 25 company, NBFC and other forms of organisations
engaged in microfinance) in India, which will enhance the understanding of the
sector in a better manner; could help in designing appropriate framework
conditions for the growth of the sector and help to understand the capacity
development of the MFOs. In this context, the present study "An Inventorization
of MFOs in India" was proposed with the following objectives:
- To know the total number of microfinance organisations operating in India;
- To know the profile of MFOs and their nature of activities; and
- To understand the capacity development needs of the MFOs.
In this regard, GTZ-Nabard Rural Finance Programme assigned the task of
organising the stury to APMAS. In this context, we request you kindly to
fill the enclosed format based on the guidelines given at the end of the
format and return it to us by 15th September 2008. If you have any quarries
feel free to contact us on email or phone numbers given below. Please
treat this as important and urgent. Also, find enclosed letter from
NABARD, Head Office, Mumbai.
