Self-learning Modules for Board of Directors (BoD) of FPOs

In the Backdrop of promotion of a number of FPOs, building capacities of Board of Directors (BoD) of FPOs is fundamental for the success of FPOs. However, there is a gap in availability of high quality, practical and user-friendly modules for capacity building of BoD members. To addresss this gap, through our FPO Incubation Center, we have come up with 6 Self Learning Modules (in English, Telugu, Kannada, Odia, Marathi, Gujarati) for Board of Directors (BoD) of FPOs

Purpose of the Modules

The purpose of these modules is to facilitates the BoD members of FPOs equip with necessary understanding and orientation so that they can play their role effectively and lead their FPOs into vibrantentities benefiting their members. These modules server the purpose of self learning resource material for BoD members.

Modules Applicability

These modules are appropriate for

• Bod members who have already undergone some preliminary training on FPOs - need for collective action/FPO, rationale for FPO, FPO concept, registration etc
• Bod members who fulfilled the BoD membership criteria and elected by the Genral Body
• Those FPOs with at least one year of existence
